I’m no stranger to humanitarian fundraising. Last year, I raised several hundred dollars for the Susan G. Komen Foundation for breast cancer, something I plan on doing every year.

Currently with the most recent natural disaster in Japan, there are the usual benefit performances and grassroot efforts to raise money, but I was pleased to come across something a little different the other day. Atsuko Kudo, a London based Japanese latex designer, is offering a special edition latex bow inspired by the Japanese flag. Available in two different sizes, they will be donating 100% of the price of every sale of this bow to the Japanese Red Cross and they will be sold at £5.00 and £10.00.

Atsuko Kudo designs for Lady Gaga, who has put this wristband on her website for the Japan Earthquake relief fund as well. The bracelet is priced at just $5, but you can adjust the donation amount as all proceeds go directly to the fund.

I have put both these items on My Wishlist. Kudos to both these Ladies for using their design ingenuity and star power toward Japan relief efforts.
