After a particularly good session with R., he texts me later that afternoon and asks if I like Eric Clapton. I reply, I’d get down on my knees for Layla. Two weeks later I’m sitting second row center stage at the Gibson for his concert.

It was truly fucking amazing–my outfit. Mr. Clapton was great too, but I wore a super short white satin dress, black leather jacket and black leather stilettos–its plausible that more people were looking at me. I was the tallest one there. (For those of you not up on my measurements, I am 5’9″ and in most of my “civilian” heels, I am 6’3″ about 5′ of that are my legs alone.)

But here is my confession: I love classic rock! It was a phenomenal show and the crowd was wonderful, which I feel like makes half the show anyway. He played the favorites, I Shot the Sheriff, Layla, Cocaine, Wonderful Tonight, etc. But I was really pleased that he ended with Crossroads.

Mr. Clapton, you certainly do know how to use that guitar well, but I could show you some new tricks with that leather guitar strap!
